Of course, anyone wants to get the best possible deal when making a purchase. One way to save money on a new wheelchair accessible vehicle purchase is by utilizing available wheelchair van discounts and rebates. There's one rebate that is available on any new wheelchair van purchase, any day of the year. That's the Mobility Rebate, which is available from all major automotive manufacturers. It can be applied to either a conversion already installed on a new vehicle, or other adaptive equipment, such as hand controls, installed in any new vehicle. GM, which encompasses familiar autmotive brands such as Chevrolet and GMC, are usually better known for their trucks, but they also produce full size vans and SUVs that can be converted for wheelchair access. Current GM vehicles that are converted for wheelchair access include the Chevrolet Traverse, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Express, GMC Sierra, GMC Savana, and GMC Yukon. GM offers a rebate of $1,000 on new GM wheelchair accessible vehicle conversions or other adaptive equipment installed on new GM vehicles.

Chrysler Wheelchair Van Mobility Rebate

Chrysler is one of the most well known manufacturers of minivans in the country. For this reason, there are a prolific number of Chrysler wheelchair vans. Currently, the Chrysler Pacifica is the only new Chrysler vehicle that can receive a wheelchair van conversion. Chrysler offers a rebate of $1,000 on new Chrysler wheelchair accessible vans or other adaptive equipment installed on new Chrysler vehicles.

Dodge / RAM Mobility Rebate

For many years, the Dodge Grand Caravan was the most common wheelchair accessible van around. Dodge doesn't make the Grand Caravan anymore, but RAM still sells pick up trucks as well as the ProMaster full size van. Current Dodge / RAM vehicles that can receive a wheelchair accessible vehicle conversion include the RAM ProMaster and RAM 2500 Mega Cab truck. Dodge / RAM offers a rebate of $1,000 on new RAM wheelchair accessible vehicles or other adaptive equipment installed on new Dodge / RAM vehicles.

For years, people have turned to Ford full size vans, minivans (when they made them), and more recently, SUVs and trucks, to be converted for wheelchair access. Current Ford vehicles that can be converted for wheelchair access include the Ford F-150 and Ford Transit. Ford offers a rebate of $1,000 on new Ford wheelchair accessible vehicles or other adaptive equipment installed on new Ford vehicles.

Honda has long been known for it's small, fuel efficient vehicles. In the mobility industry, Honda is known for the Honda Odyssey wheelchair van. Currently, the Honda Odyssey is the only new Honda vehicle that can receive a wheelchair van conversion. Honda offers $1,000 towards a wheelchair van conversion on a Honda Odyssey or other adaptive equipment installed new Honda vehicles.

Many people consider Toyota vehicles to be the most reliable on the road. That reputation carries over to the Toyota Sienna wheelchair van as well. The Toyota Sienna is the most popular import minivan that gets converted for wheelchair access. Currently, the Toyota Sienna is the only new Toyota vehicle that can receive a wheelchair van conversion.
